History

Serenity Day Spa and Wellness Center opened its doors for the first time in October, 1999, ending the century at its original location on Main Street in downtown Doylestown. Our unique way of providing services in a warmly inviting and comfortable atmosphere was an immediate hit with Bucks Countians.

We often garnered recognition from local publications, namely the “Best of Bucks-Mont” competition sponsored by The Intelligencer newspaper. This honor was particularly satisfying because winners are chosen by the public. Such accolades helped build momentum and clientele, until finally we outgrew our original location.

In 2004, we completely renovated the building at our current location on East Swamp Road and moved in July. We decided our new home should be everything we dreamed about, so we really took our time planning and designing the space to accommodate all the new services we wanted to add. And we took pains with all the details to create a tropical atmosphere such as you might find in the Mediterranean or on the veldt of equatorial Africa.

With the addition of our lower level in 2008, we finally developed into the destination-quality spa we’d envisioned from the start. With this expansion, we were able to add many more individual rooms, especially outfitted with equipment and furnishings to provide a wider range of specialized services. It also allowed us to create the Forum, a central area for relaxing between services, and to fully implement our Mediterranean Café, where clients can enjoy the ambience of a small Tuscan village with light refreshments.

In 2023, we further broadened our impact on health and wellness strategies for our clients with the introduction of the Prism Red Light Therapy Bed and Serenity Salt Room, enhancing our commitment to offering innovative and comprehensive wellness solutions.

We look forward to many more years serving our clientele as Bucks County’s premiere destination-quality spa.
